Located in Iowa, this little zoo has a lot of great exhibits considering its size. I particularly enjoyed the red pandas!

Omaha's botanical garden which has a very nice model railroad.

2014/06/27 - Henry Doorly Zoo (46 Photos)
Located in Omaha Nebraska, Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the best zoos I've visited. It has so many different exhibits from hummingbirds to free-roaming prairie dogs to free-flying bats. It also has a garden full of parrots and a great lemur exhibit. Overall it's a great zoo to visit!

2014/04/25 - Lizzadro Museum (11 Photos)
The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidart Art, located in Elmhurst, Illinois houses a world-class collection of jade and hardstone carvings and a delightful assortment of rock and mineral treasures. I particularly enjoyed the animal dioramas and the jade carvings. A great little find!

2014/04/13 - Nicholas Conservatory (27 Photos)
Located in Rockford, Illinois, the Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens features a koi pond, a kids' play area, and a butterfly tent from late March to early May.

2013/10/13 - Shedd Aquarium (57 Photos)
A long-awaited visit to the Shedd Aqaurium! Highlights were the beluga whales and jellyfish.
